During the first quarter of 2023, the top 5 word puzzle games on iOS in Madagascar displayed varied performance in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Below is a detailed look at the trends for each game based on Sensor Tower data.
Scrabble® GO - New Word Game by Scopely, Inc. saw fluctuating metrics throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads began at 30 at the end of December, then dropped to a low of 1 by the end of February, before rebounding to 32 by the end of March. Weekly revenue peaked at $12 in mid-February and saw smaller peaks of $9 and $7 in early January and mid-March, respectively. Active users showed a slight decline from 82 to 67 over the quarter but ended on a high note at 77.
4 Images 1 Mot from LOTUM GmbH maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads peaking at 101 in mid-February and ending the quarter at 85. The game’s revenue was modest, peaking at $3 multiple times in January and February. Active users increased from 835 at the end of December to 1103 by late March, indicating a growing user base.
Wordalot – Picture Crossword by MAG Interactive had minimal activity in terms of downloads and revenue. The game’s weekly downloads were negligible, and revenue peaked at $1 multiple times throughout the quarter.
Croc Word: Crossword Puzzle from Clever Apps Pte Ltd experienced a consistent but low level of revenue. The game generated $1 in several weeks across January, February, and March. However, it did not record any downloads or active users in the given data.
Finally, Wordscapes by PeopleFun, Inc. showed a slight upward trend in weekly downloads, starting from 2 at the beginning of January and reaching 12 by the end of March. Revenue peaked at $1 in early February and late February, but there were no active users recorded.
