In Q1 2023, the top 5 beauty retail apps in New Zealand showcased varied performances across weekly downloads, active users, and revenue.
Sephora - Beauty Shopping experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, peaking at 1.6K in the first week of January and maintaining an average of around 1K downloads per week. The app also had a consistent number of weekly active users, hovering around 12K to 13K throughout the quarter.
MECCA - Beauty Shopping saw its highest weekly downloads in late January with 1.6K, but numbers tapered off to around 800 by the end of March. Active users remained steady, averaging around 6.9K weekly.
OLIVEYOUNG GLOBAL had more modest download numbers, with a peak of 216 in mid-February. Weekly active users showed slight variations, averaging around 650.
Nykaa – Makeup/Beauty Shopping maintained a steady download rate, averaging around 120 downloads per week. The active user base fluctuated slightly but stayed around 1.6K.
Lush Fresh Handmade Cosmetics saw a significant increase in downloads towards the end of the quarter, reaching 237 in the last week of March. Active users grew from 79 at the start of the quarter to 191 by the end.
