The first quarter of 2023 saw notable performance among the top 5 consumer finance apps in the Dominican Republic. Here’s a closer look at the trends in weekly downloads and active users for these apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Banreservas demonstrated consistent download activity, starting the quarter with 17.6K downloads and peaking at 22K in mid-March. The app's weekly active users increased steadily, reaching a high of approximately 302.5K in the week of March 20.
Móvil Banking Personal BHD saw a rise in downloads from 7.9K at the beginning of the quarter to a peak of 12.9K in mid-March. The app's active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around the 200K mark throughout the quarter.
Banco Popular Dominicano experienced an increase in weekly downloads, starting at 7.2K and reaching a peak of 11.5K in mid-March. The weekly active users also showed an upward trend, peaking at about 89.3K during the same period.
Qik Banco Digital showed significant growth in downloads, starting at 3.6K and peaking at 16.5K in mid-March. The app's active users also increased dramatically, reaching approximately 21.3K in the week of March 20.
Móvil APAP maintained a steady download rate throughout the quarter, with downloads ranging from 1.7K to 2.5K. The app's active users remained stable, hovering around the 37K mark.
