In the first quarter of 2023, Australia's top convenience store applications showed diverse trends in downloads and active user metrics. Here’s a closer look at the performance of the top 5 apps in this category, based on data from Sensor Tower.
My 7-Eleven experienced a fluctuating download trend throughout the quarter. Starting with 16.6K downloads in late December, the app saw a dip to 12.9K by late January, followed by an upward trend peaking at 19.1K in the week of February 20. Active users showed a more stable pattern, with a slight decline from 309.3K at the start of the quarter to 296.9K mid-quarter, before rising to 311.1K by the end of March.
OTR App - Coffee & Fuel Deals had a steady increase in downloads, starting at 1.8K in late December and reaching a peak of 2.6K in the week of March 20. Active users also showed a positive trend, increasing from 27.7K at the beginning of the quarter to 30.9K by late March.
NightOwl Aus saw varied download numbers, beginning at 650 in late December and peaking at 1.1K in late January. The numbers then fluctuated, ending at 848 downloads in the last week of March.
7-Eleven Norge had a modest download performance, starting with 181 downloads and peaking at 262 in mid-February. Active users showed some variability, starting at 3.1K and peaking at 3.7K in early March, before declining to 2.3K by the end of the quarter.
7-Eleven Mobile Checkout experienced a relatively low but stable download rate. The app started with 111 downloads and fluctuated slightly, peaking at 243 in mid-January and ending the quarter with 153 downloads.
