In the first quarter of 2023, the top 5 cryptocurrency apps in Mexico demonstrated varying performance trends. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides insights into weekly downloads, revenue, and active users for these apps. Here’s a closer look at how each app fared:
Bitso, published by Bitso, saw a significant fluctuation in weekly downloads. Starting at 48K in late December, downloads decreased to around 10K by late January, then picked up again, reaching approximately 21K in the week of February 20. The app's weekly active users followed a relatively stable trend, starting at 150K and fluctuating between 110K and 134K throughout the quarter.
Cryptomania —Trading Simulator, from Edusystems OU, had an interesting quarter with weekly downloads peaking at 19K in mid-January and mid-February. Weekly revenue showed a consistent increase, peaking at $152 by the end of March. Active users saw a notable spike, reaching over 34K in mid-February, before stabilizing around 22K to 24K towards the end of the quarter.
Binance: Buy Bitcoin & Crypto, published by Binance Inc., experienced steady growth in weekly downloads, starting at 3.8K and reaching 8.1K by mid-March. Active users increased from 64K at the end of December to a high of 91K by mid-March, indicating a growing user base throughout the quarter.
Sweat Wallet, by Sweat Foundation, saw a moderate increase in weekly downloads, peaking at 3.4K in mid-February. The app maintained a stable number of active users, starting at 22K and growing to approximately 29K by the end of March.
Dondé Móvil, from Fundación Dondé, had a consistent performance in weekly downloads, with numbers ranging between 1.3K to 3.2K. The app's downloads saw a peak of 3.2K at the end of January.
