In the first quarter of 2023, Mexico's top food delivery services exhibited diverse trends in weekly downloads, active users, and revenue. Here’s a closer look at the performance metrics of the top five food delivery applications, according to Sensor Tower data.
Rappi: Market and Food Online, published by Rappi, demonstrated a fluctuating yet generally upward trend in revenue, peaking at around $9,000 in the final week of March. Weekly downloads were relatively stable, with a notable increase to approximately 153K during the week of February 13. Active users saw a slight decline from about 1.85M to 1.73M over the quarter.
DiDi Food - Food Delivery, from DiDi, showed consistent weekly downloads, maintaining figures around 120K to 140K, with a peak of roughly 140K in mid-March. Active users fluctuated but remained strong, peaking at approximately 1.59M in mid-February before stabilizing around 1.45M by the end of March.
Uber Eats: Food Delivery, by Uber Technologies, Inc., experienced steady download numbers, ranging from about 57K to 76K weekly. The app's active user base showed a slight increase from around 1.03M to 1.06M over the quarter.
Modelorama Now, published by AB InBev, saw a significant spike in downloads, particularly in late March, reaching approximately 44K. Active users also increased from about 56K in early January to nearly 88K by the end of March.
GLUP, from Grupo Cuauhtemoc Moctezuma S.A. de C.V., had lower download figures, fluctuating between 5K and 30K. Active users remained relatively stable, ranging from around 22K to 44K throughout the quarter.
