The first quarter of 2023 saw interesting trends in the performance of the top 5 music games on a unified platform in Austria. Below is a detailed look at the weekly downloads, revenue, and active users for each game, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Magic Tiles 3: Piano Game from Amanotes Pte. Ltd. experienced a steady increase in weekly revenue, peaking at around $405 in the week of February 6. Weekly downloads showed a downward trend over the quarter, starting at 5.9K in late December and falling to 2.9K by the end of March. Meanwhile, weekly active users fluctuated, starting at 29K and ending at approximately 20K.
Geometry Dash Lite by RobTop Games AB showed consistent weekly revenue, peaking at $308 at the end of December and maintaining around $200-$300 throughout Q1. Weekly downloads started at 3.5K and dipped to 2.1K by mid-March, with a slight rise to 2.4K by the end of the quarter. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, starting at 71K and ending at 60K.
Cyber Surfer: EDM & Skateboard from Badsnowball Limited had lower revenue, peaking at $30 in early January. Weekly downloads saw a decline from 2.8K in late December to below 1K by the end of March. Weekly active users also decreased from 7.5K in early January to around 4K by the end of the quarter.
Tiles Hop EDM Rush Music Game by Amanotes Pte. Ltd. had stable weekly revenue, peaking at $120 at the end of March. Weekly downloads decreased from 3.3K in late December to 984 by the end of March. Weekly active users started at 30K and ended at approximately 21K.
Drum Pad Machine - Beat Maker from Easybrain Ltd saw its highest weekly revenue of $162 at the end of February. Weekly downloads fluctuated between 800 and 1.1K over the quarter. Weekly active users remained stable, starting at 4.7K and ending at around 4K.
