In the first quarter of 2023, the top 5 shopping apps in Colombia displayed notable performance metrics across downloads and active user engagement. Here's a closer look at the trends for each app based on Sensor Tower data.
AliExpress Shopping App experienced a strong surge in downloads, particularly from mid-February to mid-March. Weekly downloads peaked at approximately 540K in the week of March 20. Active users also saw a significant rise, reaching around 908K in the same week, before a slight drop to 739K by the end of the quarter.
Shopee CO: Compra En Línea maintained a consistent download rate with noticeable spikes. Downloads reached around 136K in the final week of March. The app's active user base remained strong, peaking at approximately 1.86M in mid-March, showcasing its steady user engagement.
falabella.com – Compra online displayed a mixed trend in downloads. After an initial high of around 113K in late February, downloads declined to about 41K by the end of March. However, active users demonstrated resilience, growing from 262K at the start of the quarter to 300K in the final week.
Mercado Libre: Compras Online showed a consistent download trend, with figures around 49K in the last week of March. The app's active user base remained robust throughout the quarter, starting at 2.6M and peaking at 2.76M in the first week of January.
Alibaba.com saw a fluctuating download pattern, with a peak of approximately 81K in early January. Active users remained relatively stable, peaking at 1.01M in the week of January 9 and ending the quarter at around 905K.
