During the first quarter of 2023, the top 5 sports apps in Brazil exhibited varied performance metrics in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users, according to Sensor Tower data. Here's a closer look at how each app fared on a unified platform.
EA SPORTS FC™ Mobile Soccer from ELECTRONIC ARTS demonstrated a dynamic performance throughout the quarter. Weekly revenue started strong at approximately $198K and saw a peak of around $203K in early January, before gradually declining to about $130K by the end of March. Downloads followed a similar trend, beginning with 681K in late December and decreasing to 208K by the quarter's end. Active users showed a steady decline from 24.4M to 13.8M over the same period.
eFootball™ 2024 by KONAMI experienced fluctuations in its weekly revenue, starting at $148K and dropping to $92K by the end of March. Downloads ranged from 121K in late December to 60K in the final week of the quarter. Active users showed a gradual decline from 5.3M to 3.8M.
8 Ball Pool from Miniclip.com saw consistent weekly revenue, averaging around $60K to $78K, with a slight peak of $68K in mid-March. Downloads remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 320K and 243K. The app maintained a consistent active user base, starting at 4.6M and ending the quarter with 4M.
Premiere by Globo Comunicação e Participações S.A. saw modest revenue ranging from $24K to $49K, with a peak in mid-January. Downloads varied, starting at 3.8K and peaking at 30.8K in mid-February, before dropping to 6.7K by the end of March. Active users remained relatively stable, starting at 198K and ending the quarter at 183K.
F1 TV by Formula One Digital Media Limited showed significant growth in revenue and user engagement. Weekly revenue surged from $9.7K in late December to $65K in early March. Downloads mirrored this growth, starting at 304 and peaking at 19.7K in late February. Active users increased from 16.7K to 34.3K over the quarter.
