In the first quarter of 2023, superhero games on a unified platform in Africa exhibited diverse performance trends. Here's a closer look at the top five games:
Miami Rope Hero Spider Games from Newry showed a fluctuating pattern in weekly downloads, starting from around 131.7K in late December and dipping to 85.5K by the end of March. The game’s weekly active users followed a similar trend, peaking at 340.9K in mid-February and then settling at 210.3K in the final week of March. Revenue remained relatively low, with minor peaks reaching up to $4 in late December.
GT Moto Stunt 3D: Driving Game by Zego Studio experienced a decline in weekly downloads from 115.5K at the start of the quarter to 26K by the end of March. Active users also decreased, beginning at 185K and dropping to 121K. This game did not report any revenue during the period.
Spider Rope Hero: Spider Games from Warrior Zone had an interesting journey with weekly downloads starting at 31.1K and experiencing a peak of 80.1K mid-January, before tapering off to 32.1K by the end of March. Active users mirrored this pattern, peaking at 60.7K and then declining to 26.6K. Revenue was sporadic, with minor peaks of up to $209 in late December.
Hero Rope: City Battle also by Zego Studio maintained a steadier performance. Weekly downloads remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 27.1K and 37.4K. Active users saw a gradual increase from 64.5K to 88.2K over the quarter. No revenue was reported for this game during the period.
Mashup Hero: Superhero Games from Homa saw a significant rise in weekly downloads, starting at 8.2K and soaring to 78.6K by mid-March. Active users also increased dramatically, peaking at 142.6K in the week of March 20. Revenue was modest, with a notable peak of $9 in late January.
