In the first quarter of 2023, the top virtual fitness programs in the United Kingdom demonstrated diverse performance trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at the data from Sensor Tower for the top 5 apps:
JustFit: Lazy Workout & Fit witnessed notable fluctuations in its metrics. Weekly revenue began at around $18.5K and peaked at nearly $43.7K in early January, before stabilizing at approximately $42.6K by the end of March. Downloads showed a significant surge to 61.1K in the first week of January and concluded the quarter with 42.6K. Active users started at 6.6K and rose steadily to 62.1K by the end of the quarter.
Strava: Run, Bike, Hike maintained a strong performance throughout Q1. Weekly revenue remained robust, reaching around $269K in mid-March. Downloads varied between 17.6K and 26.6K, peaking in the first week of January. Active users fluctuated slightly but remained high, starting at 792K and ending at 773K.
Fitbit: Health & Fitness also showed consistent trends. Revenue peaked at $237K in the last week of December and saw another high of $211K at the end of March. Downloads saw a significant drop from 89.4K in late December to 18.5K by the end of March. Active users remained relatively stable, starting at 770K and finishing the quarter at 769K.
AllTrails: Hike, Bike & Run experienced steady revenue growth, starting at $39.2K and reaching $67.8K by the end of March. Downloads fluctuated between 14.4K and 23.2K, showing a peak mid-quarter. Active users started at 100.6K, with a slight decline to 95.7K by the end of March.
Sweatcoin Walking Step Counter had a more varied performance. Weekly revenue ranged between $5.0K and $7.3K, with a peak in late February. Downloads peaked in the first week of January at 24.7K and ended the quarter at 15.6K. Active users saw a peak of 529K in late February, before dropping to 391K by the end of March.
