In the second quarter of 2023, the top communication apps on the Android platform in Georgia showed varied performance in terms of downloads and revenue. Here’s a detailed look at how each of them fared:
WhatsApp Messenger saw a significant increase in weekly downloads. Starting from around 10.4K in late March, downloads dipped to 7K in the first week of May but then surged, peaking at 19.1K by the end of June.
Telegram experienced a steady climb in downloads, beginning at 5.7K in late March and reaching 16.7K by the end of June. Revenue trends for Telegram were relatively stable, hovering around $250 to $300 per week with minor fluctuations.
Messenger had a mixed quarter. Weekly downloads started at 5.1K in late March, dipped to 3.4K in early May, but rebounded to 5.8K by the end of June. Revenue remained low, with occasional small peaks, the highest being $43 in late May.
Rakuten Viber Messenger maintained consistent download numbers, starting from 4.2K in late March and ending at 5.6K by the end of June. Revenue showed minor fluctuations, with weekly figures generally between $24 and $49.
Snapchat had a steady increase in downloads, starting at 3.6K in late March and peaking at 4.1K by the end of June. Revenue trends for Snapchat showed gradual growth, culminating in $45 in the final week of June.
