In Q2 2023, the top five personal finance budgeting and planning apps on the Android platform in Nigeria displayed diverse performance trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Below is a detailed review of each app's performance during the quarter.
Piggy Money - Saving Tracker from Ashwyll Solutions experienced notable fluctuations in weekly downloads, starting with 568 downloads at the end of March and peaking at 1.5K in the first week of May. The app's weekly revenue saw a modest increase, reaching up to $13 in the week of June 19.
Luca: Easy Bookkeeping App by Luca Africa had a significant drop in downloads from 5.2K in late March to 741 by mid-April. However, it rebounded, reaching 1.2K downloads in the last week of June. The app did not generate any revenue during this period.
Know know cash, released in June 2023, quickly gained traction with downloads starting at 1.8K in its first week and peaking at 4.4K in the following week. Despite the impressive download numbers, the app did not generate any revenue during the quarter.
Figur, also a new entrant in June 2023, saw a steady increase in downloads, starting from 233 in mid-May to a peak of 1.7K in the week of June 12. However, downloads dropped to 841 by the end of June. The app did not report any revenue during this period.
Moneytree - Finance Made Easy from Moneytree KK showed consistent growth in both downloads and active users. Downloads started at 398 in early May, peaking at 900 in mid-June before dipping slightly to 512 by the end of the month. The app's weekly revenue peaked at $21 in early June. Active users increased steadily from 144 in late March to 2.2K by the end of June.
