The second quarter of 2023 saw significant activity among the top 5 shopping apps on the Android platform in the United Kingdom. Here’s a closer look at how these apps performed in terms of weekly downloads and active users.
Temu: Shop Like a Billionaire experienced a dramatic increase in weekly downloads, peaking at around 601K in early May. However, this number gradually declined to approximately 111K by the end of June. Active users also showed a consistent upward trend, reaching close to 893K in early June before slightly dropping to 814K by the end of the quarter.
Tesco Grocery & Clubcard maintained a steady performance with weekly downloads fluctuating between 53K and 103K. The app’s active user base remained robust, peaking at over 1.2M in mid-June before slightly declining to around 1.08M by the end of June.
SHEIN-Shopping Online saw a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting from about 47K at the end of March and reaching approximately 79K by mid-June. The app’s active users also grew steadily, with a peak of around 1.02M in late May and maintaining this level through the end of the quarter.
ASDA Rewards had a more varied performance in weekly downloads, starting at about 33K and peaking at around 49K in early May before declining to approximately 27K by the end of June. Active users, however, showed a positive trend, growing from 759K at the end of March to about 877K by the end of June.
Nectar – Collect&Spend points displayed a steady download rate, fluctuating between 11K and 41K throughout the quarter. The app’s active user base saw a gradual increase, peaking at around 353K in mid-June.
