In Q2 2023, Turkey's shopping app landscape on the Android platform showcased interesting trends. Here’s a closer look at the performance of the top 5 shopping apps: Trendyol - Online Alışveriş, LCW – Online Shopping, Hepsiburada: Online Shopping, Karaca: Ev, Yaşam ve Mutfak, and AliExpress.
Trendyol - Online Alışveriş saw a decline in weekly downloads, dropping from 154K in late March to approximately 100K by the end of June. The app maintained a high level of weekly active users, peaking at around 18.9M in late April, before gradually decreasing to 17M by the end of the quarter.
LCW – Online Shopping experienced fluctuating download numbers, starting at 142K in late March and dropping to around 55K by the end of June. Active users peaked at approximately 1.1M in early April but saw a decline to around 767K by the end of June.
Hepsiburada: Online Shopping had a steady decline in downloads, starting at 127K in late March and falling to about 78K by the end of June. Active users showed a similar trend, peaking at around 7.7M in early June and decreasing to 6.7M by the end of the quarter.
Karaca: Ev, Yaşam ve Mutfak saw significant variations in weekly downloads, with a notable peak of 207K in early May, followed by a drop to approximately 50K by the end of June. Active users increased from 454K in late March to a peak of 704K in early May, then slightly declined to around 502K by the end of June.
AliExpress encountered a sharp drop in downloads from 256K in late March to about 61K by the end of June. However, the app maintained a strong active user base, peaking at approximately 2.4M in mid-June before dropping to around 1.8M by the end of the quarter.
