Top 5 Carpooling and Ridesharing Apps on iOS in the US, Q2 2023

In the second quarter of 2023, the top carpooling and ridesharing apps on the iOS platform in the United States demonstrated interesting trends in downloads and active users. Data from Sensor Tower reveals the performance of Uber - Request a ride, Lyft, Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver, Lyft Driver, and Bolt: Request a Ride.

Uber - Request a ride saw a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 236K in early April and reaching around 276K by the end of June. Active users fluctuated slightly but ended the quarter on a high note, rising from roughly 7.3M to nearly 8M.

Lyft also experienced a growth in weekly downloads, beginning at about 142K and climbing to 178K by late June. The app's active users showed a similar upward trend, increasing from around 3.3M to over 3.5M during the same period.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver maintained a steady rise in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 84K and reaching 111K by the end of the quarter. Active users went up from around 1.75M to nearly 2M, indicating a growing user base.

Lyft Driver showed a more moderate increase in weekly downloads, beginning at about 27K and ending at 34K. Active users saw a slight upward trend, moving from approximately 360K to 373K by the end of June.

Lastly, Bolt: Request a Ride demonstrated steady growth in weekly downloads, starting at around 22K and peaking at 35K in mid-June before settling at 32K. Active users followed an upward trend, growing from approximately 29K to 38K over the quarter.
