In Q2 2023, the Puzzle and Riddle games category on iOS in Bulgaria showcased a variety of trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a look at the performance of the top 5 games in this category, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Impossible Date: Tricky Riddle saw its weekly downloads peak early in the quarter, reaching approximately 2.8K in the first week of May. Downloads then stabilized to around 500-600 per week by the end of June. The game’s revenue was modest, with a notable spike to $34 in early May and smaller peaks of $16-$19 in June. Active users followed a similar pattern, peaking at around 4.6K in early May before stabilizing to approximately 2.4K-2.5K by the end of the quarter.
Fantasy Tree experienced relatively consistent download numbers throughout the quarter, typically ranging between 100 and 300 per week. Active users showed a slight increase over the period, ending with around 318 users in the last week of June. However, the game did not generate any revenue during this quarter.
Brain Test: Tricky Puzzles maintained a stable download rate, fluctuating between 100 and 230 downloads weekly. Revenue for this game had minor peaks, with the most significant spike reaching $60 in mid-June. Active user numbers were relatively stable, hovering around 1.2K-1.5K throughout the quarter.
IQ Boost: Training Brain Games experienced a steady increase in both downloads and active users towards the end of the quarter. Downloads peaked at 252 in mid-June, while active users reached approximately 2.4K during the same period. Revenue showed some fluctuation, with notable peaks of $39 in mid-June and $42 in the final week of June.
Thief Puzzle: to pass a level had a declining trend in downloads over the quarter, starting with 170 in late March and dropping to around 50-60 by late June. Active users also showed a decline, from 530 in early April to 225 by the end of June. Revenue was minimal, with only a few weeks showing small amounts, including $12 in mid-May.
