In the second quarter of 2023, the top dating apps in Australia, including Hinge Dating App: Match & Meet, Tinder Dating App: Chat & Date, Bumble Dating App: Meet & Date, Wizz App - chat now, and OmeTV – Video Chat Alternative, displayed a range of trends in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.
Hinge Dating App: Match & Meet experienced a stable weekly revenue pattern, starting at approximately $168K and peaking at $191.9K in mid-June. Weekly downloads fluctuated, beginning with around 11.5K in late March and reaching 13.8K by the end of June. Active users saw some variation, starting at around 333K and increasing to a peak of 370.5K in late April.
Tinder Dating App: Chat & Date demonstrated significant revenue growth, beginning at around $434.9K and reaching up to $677.4K in mid-June. Download numbers were relatively stable, ranging from about 11.5K to 13.2K. The app maintained a high number of active users, with figures starting at approximately 1.25M and peaking at 1.32M in early April.
Bumble Dating App: Meet & Date showed consistent weekly revenue, ranging from $282.5K to $317.7K throughout the quarter. Downloads were steady, starting at around 10.2K and ending at 11.3K. Active users displayed a stable trend, starting at approximately 431.8K and peaking at 484.4K in early April.
Wizz App - chat now had moderate weekly revenue, starting at $11.3K and peaking at $12.9K by the end of June. Downloads showed a slight decline initially, from about 7.3K to around 5K, with a small uptick towards the end. Active users grew from approximately 36.1K to 44.2K by mid-June.
Finally, OmeTV – Video Chat Alternative displayed stable revenue patterns, starting at $5.4K and peaking at $6.3K in mid-April. Downloads varied, beginning at around 3.7K and reaching up to 5.1K by the end of June. Active users increased from approximately 13K to 16.6K by late June.
