The second quarter of 2023 showcased interesting trends for the top fast food and fast casual restaurant apps in the United Arab Emirates. Here’s a detailed look at the performance of the top five apps in this category, based on data from Sensor Tower.
KFC UAE - Order Food Online had a notable performance in Q2 2023. Weekly downloads peaked at 26.6K in mid-April but saw a general decline towards June, ending with around 13.3K downloads in the last week. The app's weekly active users followed a similar trend, peaking at approximately 126K in mid-April before declining to around 93.9K by the end of June.
McDonald’s - Non-US also saw fluctuations in its performance. Weekly downloads started at 9.3K and rose to a high of 17.5K in mid-April, ending Q2 at around 15.1K. The app maintained a strong base of weekly active users, starting at 132K and peaking at approximately 157K in mid-April, before stabilizing around 150K by the end of June.
Pizza Hut UAE- Order Food Now experienced a steady but modest performance. Weekly downloads peaked at 15.3K in mid-April and gradually declined to 8.9K by the end of June. The app's weekly active users showed a consistent upward trend, starting at 34.7K and reaching approximately 41K by the end of June.
Starbucks UAE maintained a steady performance throughout Q2. Weekly downloads were highest at 9.6K in early April but saw a gradual decline to 4.1K by the end of June. The app's weekly active users showed consistent growth, starting at 62.5K and ending the quarter at around 79.6K.
Hardee's UAE had a varied performance with weekly downloads peaking at 7K in early April and then declining significantly to 1.6K by the end of June. Weekly active users saw a peak of 23.2K in mid-April, but numbers fluctuated and ended at approximately 18.7K by the end of the quarter.
