In the second quarter of 2023, several personal finance budgeting and planning applications demonstrated notable performance in Brazil. Here, we take a closer look at the top five apps in this category, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Mobills: Budget Planner, developed by Toro Investimentos, showcased significant activity. Weekly revenue peaked at around $47.2K in mid-May, with other weeks generally seeing figures ranging from $19.5K to $27.1K. Downloads fluctuated, reaching a high of approximately 20.7K in early June. Active users saw a slight dip over the quarter, from 145.8K at the start of April to around 131.7K by the end of June.
Organizze: Finance tracker, published by Organizze Tecnologia, experienced varying weekly revenue, peaking at $9.3K in early April and fluctuating between $5K and $9K for the rest of the quarter. Downloads were relatively stable, with a notable increase to 10.9K in late May. Active users saw a slight decline from 54.6K in early April to 51.7K by the end of June.
My Finances - Bills Reminder, created by Nimtech TI, had more modest revenue, generally around $700 to $900 weekly, with a peak of $1K in early May. Weekly downloads saw a high of around 12.8K in early May, while active users hovered around the 63K mark, peaking at 68.9K in early May before settling back to approximately 63.2K by the end of June.
Splitwise, from Splitwise, showed consistent weekly revenue, peaking at $724 in early June. Downloads varied, with significant peaks such as 8.5K in late April and 8.3K in early June. The app maintained a steady active user base, generally around 23K to 25K throughout the quarter.
YNAB, by ynab.com, had relatively lower revenue, with a peak of $704 in early May. Active user data was not provided, and downloads were negligible, with only two recorded instances.
