During Q3 2023, the top 5 arcade racing apps on Android in South Africa displayed diverse trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here's a closer look at their performance:
Pocket Champs: 3D Racing Games experienced fluctuations in both revenue and downloads. Weekly revenue saw a peak at approximately $1.9K in late July, tapering off to around $860 by the end of September. Downloads peaked at 3.7K in early July but gradually declined to around 1.3K by the end of the quarter. Active users also declined from 7.8K to 6K during the same period.
Need for Speed™ No Limits showed a consistent performance in downloads, maintaining figures around 12K throughout the quarter. Revenue saw a dip in mid-August to approximately $426, but rebounded to around $773 by the end of September. Active users hovered around the 57K mark for most of the quarter, with a slight drop to 52K in the final week.
Asphalt Legends Unite had a varied performance with a notable peak in downloads at 2.4K in late September. Revenue fluctuated, peaking at about $1.1K in early July and dipping to $317 in mid-September before rising to $690 by the end of the quarter. Active users saw a significant increase from 6.8K to 7.6K over the period.
CarX Drift Racing 2 experienced steady trends in active users and revenue. Downloads were relatively stable, peaking at 1K in late September. Revenue remained modest, peaking at approximately $238 in late August. Active users showed a slight increase from 3.2K to 2.8K throughout the quarter.
CarX Street demonstrated steady growth in downloads, reaching 337 by the end of September. Revenue remained low but consistent, peaking at $165 in the final week of the quarter. Active users saw a gradual increase from 1.7K to 1.6K over the three months.
