In the third quarter of 2023, the top finance applications on the Android platform in Latin America exhibited diverse trends in weekly downloads and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower. Below, we delve into the performance metrics of the leading apps: Nubank: conta, cartão e mais, Mercado Pago: cuenta digital, Yape, Nequi Colombia, and PicPay: Conta, Cartão e Pix.

Nubank: conta, cartão e mais experienced a significant increase in weekly downloads, starting from around 614K at the end of June and peaking at approximately 914K in mid-September. Weekly active users also showed a positive trend, rising from 37.7M to 41.5M over the quarter.

Mercado Pago: cuenta digital maintained a relatively stable download rate, with weekly downloads fluctuating between 437K and 562K. The active user base grew from 24M in late June to about 26M by the end of September.

Yape saw impressive growth in downloads, particularly from mid-July onwards, with a peak of 726K in the second week of September. Active users increased steadily, starting at 3.1M and reaching nearly 3.4M by the end of the quarter.

Nequi Colombia had varied download performance, with notable peaks of 494K in early August and 593K in late September. The app's active user base also showed growth, rising from 3.2M to 3.5M over the quarter.

PicPay: Conta, Cartão e Pix displayed a consistent increase in downloads, peaking at around 417K in the third week of August. Active users fluctuated but ended the quarter slightly higher, moving from 11.4M to 11.5M.
