In Q3 2023, the top 5 Food and Drink Android apps in Kenya demonstrated varying performance in terms of downloads and active users. Here’s a detailed look at the trends for each app, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Weekly downloads for Jumia Food: Food Delivery fluctuated throughout the quarter. Starting with 7.1K downloads in late June, the numbers saw a significant dip to 321 in mid-July. However, there was a recovery with downloads peaking at 6.2K in mid-September. Active users mirrored this trend, starting at 61.9K, dipping to 31.8K by the end of July, and then climbing back to 59K by mid-September.
Uber Eats: Food Delivery showed a steady increase in weekly downloads towards the end of the quarter. Downloads started at 3K in late June, dipped to 585 in late August, and then surged to 5.1K in mid-September. Active users followed a similar pattern, beginning at 43.9K, dropping to 29K in late August, and then rising to 53.2K by mid-September.
Downloads for Pizza Inn Kenya experienced a notable decrease over the quarter. Starting at 3.3K in late June, downloads fell to a low of 422 in mid-September before rising to 1.1K by the end of the month.
Bolt Food: Delivery & Takeaway
Bolt Food: Delivery & Takeaway downloads displayed some fluctuations but remained relatively stable overall. Downloads began at 2.4K in late June, dipped to 296 in mid-July, and then settled around 1.2K by the end of September. Active users started at 48.1K, saw a dip to 35.8K in late August, and then slightly decreased to 37.1K by late September.
Dial a Delivery experienced a significant increase in downloads towards the end of the quarter. Starting with 468 downloads in late June, the numbers surged to 4.2K in mid-September before settling at 1.4K by the end of the month.
