In Q3 2023, the top five investing and financial management apps on the Android platform in New Zealand showed varying performance trends. According to data from Sensor Tower, here's a closer look at their weekly downloads, active users, and revenue where available.
Sharesies: Easy Investing saw a relatively stable trend in weekly downloads, starting the quarter with approximately 969 downloads and fluctuating around this number throughout the period. The downloads peaked at 1015 in mid-July but generally remained in the range of 700-900 downloads per week.
Generate KiwiSaver experienced significant fluctuations in weekly downloads. The app saw a notable spike in mid-July with downloads reaching 2115, and another peak at the end of July with 2967 downloads. The downloads then stabilized to a lower range of around 300-1000 per week for the rest of the quarter.
Tiger Trade: Invest globally maintained a consistent download rate, averaging around 700-900 downloads per week. The app saw a slight increase towards the end of September, reaching up to 952 downloads. Active users for Tiger Trade showed a steady increase, starting from approximately 11.5K and ending the quarter with around 13.5K active users.
Fisher Funds experienced a dramatic increase in weekly downloads at the end of August, peaking at 4404 downloads. This spike was followed by a return to a more moderate range of around 500-1300 downloads per week through the end of September.
Binance: Buy Bitcoin & Crypto demonstrated a steady trend in weekly downloads, ranging from 350 to 552 downloads per week. The app's active users fluctuated slightly, starting at 4885 and peaking at 6129 in mid-July before settling around the 4300-5200 range towards the end of the quarter.
