In the third quarter of 2023, the performance of the top music games on the Android platform in the Middle East showcased notable trends in downloads, revenue, and active user engagement.
Magic Tiles 3 by AMANOTES PTE LTD saw a consistent revenue stream, peaking at around $191 in the last week of June and maintaining a steady range between $107 and $191 throughout the quarter. Downloads for Magic Tiles 3 started strong with over 51K in late June but experienced a gradual decline to about 33.8K by the end of September. Active users mirrored this trend, starting at approximately 345K and dipping to around 311K by the quarter's end.
Another game from the same publisher, Tiles Hop EDM Rush Music Game, had a more varied performance. Revenue fluctuated, reaching a peak of $98 in late June and dropping to around $19-$50 in subsequent weeks. Downloads saw a significant drop from 44K in early July to just under 10K by the end of September. Active users also decreased from about 325K to 234K over the same period.
Dancing Cats - Cute Music Game by Cobby Labs, a newer entrant released in June 2023, showed promising early engagement. Revenue was minimal, consistently around $1-$4. However, downloads spiked dramatically from 2K in late June to over 48K in late July, before settling down to approximately 13.7K by the end of September. Active users followed a similar pattern, peaking at around 94.5K in late July and then stabilizing to about 64.3K in late September.
Piano Star by TINYMAX HONGKONG LIMITED experienced modest revenue, with a notable peak of $61 in mid-August. Downloads fluctuated between 18K and 39K, with a general downward trend towards the end of the quarter. Active users remained relatively steady, starting at around 154K in late June and ending at approximately 174K by the end of September.
Lastly, Piano Game: Classic Music Song by Dream Tiles Piano Game Studio had no significant revenue until mid-September, where it recorded $2. Downloads showed a declining trend from 25K in late June to about 17.5K by the end of September. Active users saw a gradual decline from approximately 108K in late June to around 93K by the end of the quarter.
