In the third quarter of 2023, the top 5 apparel applications on the iOS platform in the United States exhibited interesting trends in downloads and active user metrics. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides a snapshot of the performance of these leading apps.
SHEIN - Shopping Online saw consistent growth in downloads, starting from 361K in late June and peaking at 479K at the end of July. The app maintained a strong user base, with weekly active users hovering around 13.9M to 14.4M throughout the quarter.
Nike: Shoes, Apparel, Stories experienced fluctuations in downloads, beginning with 157K in late June and spiking to 242K in mid-September. Weekly active users mirrored this variability, peaking at approximately 3.5M at the end of July before settling around 2.8M by the end of September.
GOAT – Sneakers & Apparel showed a strong start with downloads increasing from 59K in late June to 148K by the end of July. However, the numbers tapered off, ending the quarter at 61K. Active users followed a similar pattern, peaking at 2.2M in early August and then declining to 1.6M by the end of September.
CIDER - Clothing & Fashion maintained steady download numbers, ranging from 52K to 64K throughout the quarter. The app's active user base showed a positive trend, growing from 320K in late June to 383K by the end of September.
Nike SNKRS: Sneaker Release demonstrated significant growth in downloads, starting at 27K in late June and reaching 71K in early August. Weekly active users also saw an upward trend, starting at 685K in late June and peaking at 1.1M in mid-August.
