State of AI Apps Report 2025 is Live!
During the third quarter of 2023, the top five carpooling and ridesharing apps on the iOS platform in Germany presented diverse trends in weekly downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at the performance of these apps, as per data sourced from Sensor Tower.
Uber - Request a ride observed a consistent increase in weekly downloads, rising from approximately 29K in late June to around 35K by the end of September. Active users showed a slight decline initially but rebounded strongly towards the end of the quarter, peaking at nearly 400K in mid-September.
Bolt: Request a Ride experienced fluctuating download numbers, starting at about 26K in late June, dipping to around 21K in late July, and then recovering to approximately 26K by the end of September. Active users for Bolt hovered around 85K, with minor fluctuations throughout the quarter.
BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus displayed a relatively stable download trend, averaging around 5K to 6K weekly downloads. Active users saw a slight decline from around 51K in late June to about 49K by the end of September, with some minor ups and downs in between.
MOIA in Hamburg & Hanover had a steady performance in downloads, ranging between 2K and 3K weekly. The active user base remained consistent, fluctuating slightly around 3.4K throughout the quarter.
Cabify showed a modest increase in weekly downloads, starting at about 1.4K in late June and reaching around 1.6K by the end of September. Active users for Cabify saw a gradual increase, starting at approximately 7.6K in late June and rising to about 9.1K by the end of the quarter.
