During the third quarter of 2023, the top navigation and maps apps on iOS in Costa Rica demonstrated varied performance trends. Here’s a detailed look into the weekly downloads, revenue, and active users for each of these apps.
Google Maps saw a consistent pattern in weekly downloads, ranging from around 2.1K to 2.9K. The highest download count was approximately 2.9K in the week of September 18. The app maintained a stable user base with active users fluctuating between 153K and 157K throughout the quarter.
Waze Navigation & Live Traffic also experienced steady weekly downloads, peaking at about 2K in the weeks of July 3 and September 25. Active users ranged from 104K to 108K, with a noticeable peak of 108K in the week of September 18.
Google Earth had more modest download numbers, consistently below 600 per week, with the highest being 564 in the week of July 3. Active users for Google Earth ranged from 3.2K to 3.6K, showing a slight increase towards the end of the quarter.
CarbitLink-EasyConnection demonstrated stable download figures, generally hovering around 100 downloads per week. Weekly revenue showed minor fluctuations, with the highest being $14 in the week of September 4. Active users increased steadily from 574 at the start of the quarter to 709 by the end.
Lastly, MAPS.ME: Offline Maps, GPS Nav showed a peak in downloads at 139 in the week of September 4. Active users saw a rise from 323 at the beginning of the quarter to a peak of 436 in the week of September 4, before settling at 360 by the end of September.
