In Q3 2023, the top carpooling and ridesharing apps in Saudi Arabia showcased diverse trends in downloads and active users. Here’s a detailed look at the performance of these apps.
Uber - Request a ride saw a consistent download rate, starting at around 44.6K in late June and fluctuating to about 33.9K by the end of September. Active users exhibited a steady rise, reaching approximately 1M by the end of Q3.
Bolt: Request a Ride maintained a stable download trend, with figures oscillating between 22.2K and 29.6K throughout the quarter. Active users also showed a slight upward trend, increasing from around 154.9K in late June to roughly 154.7K by the end of September.
Ego | The Ride Hailing App experienced significant variations in downloads, peaking at around 38.9K in late August. Active users followed a similar pattern, peaking at approximately 188.9K in late August before stabilizing at around 170.3K by the end of September.
Jeeny - جيني showed a consistent download rate, ranging from 16K to 23.1K across the quarter. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 118.7K and 135.4K.
Careem – rides, food & more had steady download figures, with weekly downloads varying from 12.3K to 19.5K. Active users saw a slight increase, beginning at around 299.6K in late June and reaching approximately 296.2K by the end of the quarter.
