In Q3 2023, the top five dining and restaurant apps in the United States exhibited varied performance in terms of downloads and weekly active users. Below, we delve into the specifics for each app, based on data from Sensor Tower.
McDonald's experienced notable fluctuations in downloads, starting with around 548K at the end of June and peaking at approximately 852K in mid-September. Weekly active users also showed a significant increase, rising from 10.2M in late June to a peak of 11.8M in mid-September.
Starbucks maintained steady growth in downloads, beginning at 211K in late June and reaching 282K by the end of September. The app's weekly active users followed a similar trend, increasing from 4.6M to 5.6M over the quarter.
Domino's Pizza USA saw a consistent pattern in downloads, fluctuating between 154K and 200K throughout the quarter. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 2.9M to 3.0M during this period.
Taco Bell Fast Food & Delivery exhibited steady download numbers, with figures ranging from 161K to 196K. Weekly active users showed a gradual increase, starting at 1.1M in late June and reaching 1.2M by the end of September.
Chick-fil-A downloads ranged between 144K and 191K during the quarter. Weekly active users remained consistent, with numbers around 1.7M to 1.8M.
