In the third quarter of 2023, the top five education apps in Latin America showcased strong performance across downloads, revenue, and active user metrics. Here’s a detailed look at their trends:
Duolingo - Language Lessons saw a significant increase in weekly revenue, peaking at around $298K in the week of August 28. Weekly downloads also rose mid-quarter, reaching approximately 823K in the same week. Active users grew steadily, peaking at about 7.2M in mid-September before a slight decline to 7.1M by the end of the quarter.
Headway: Daily Book Summaries experienced a peak in weekly revenue at $141K in late July, with a gradual decrease to $84K by the end of September. Weekly downloads were highest in mid-July at 237K, but saw a decline to 54K by the end of the quarter. Active users mirrored this trend, peaking at 706K in mid-July and dropping to 421K by late September.
Toca Boca World reported a peak in weekly revenue at $239K in mid-July, followed by a decline to $108K by the end of September. Downloads were steady, with a high of 463K in late August. Active users reached 5.4M in early August but decreased to 4.5M by the end of the quarter.
Lingokids - Play and Learn maintained a consistent weekly revenue around $77K in early July, tapering off to $64K by the end of September. Downloads peaked at 84K in early September. Active users showed a slight decline over the quarter, from 262K in late June to 215K by the end of September.
Passei Direto - App de Estudos saw a notable increase in revenue, reaching $102K in the final week of September. Downloads and active users also saw growth, with downloads peaking at 17K and active users stabilizing around 137K.
