In Q3 2023, the performance of the top 5 entertainment apps on a unified platform in Brazil showcased diverse trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. The data, provided by Sensor Tower, offers valuable insights into the popularity and usage of these apps.
Netflix experienced fluctuations in its weekly downloads, peaking at 753K in the week of July 24. Revenue saw a high of approximately $50K in the week of August 7, while active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 22M to 23M.
Globoplay: Novelas, séries e + witnessed a significant increase in downloads in mid-August, reaching 524K. Revenue peaked at approximately $958K in the same period. Active users displayed a slight decline towards the end of the quarter, from 6.2M to 5M.
Pluto TV: Watch & Stream Live maintained a consistent download rate, with a peak of 325K in mid-August. Active users increased steadily, peaking at approximately 1.5M in early September.
Amazon Prime Video saw its weekly revenue spike to approximately $1.4K in the final week of September. Downloads peaked at 407K in early July, while active users remained steady, averaging around 2M throughout the quarter.
TikTok showed impressive download numbers, peaking at 1.5M in late July. Revenue saw a notable increase, reaching approximately $290K in mid-September. Active users consistently remained high, averaging around 70M.
