State of AI Apps Report 2025 is Live!
In the third quarter of 2023, the top film and television apps in Brazil saw varied performance metrics in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users. Here’s a detailed look at the trends for Netflix, Globoplay: Novelas, séries e +, Pluto TV: Watch & Stream Live, Amazon Prime Video, and Disney+.
Netflix experienced fluctuations in revenue, peaking at approximately $50K in the week of August 7th. Downloads spiked to around 754K in the week of July 24th but gradually declined to 278K by the end of September. Weekly active users showed a slight downward trend, starting at 23.6M in late June and ending at 22.6M by the end of September.
Globoplay: Novelas, séries e + maintained robust revenue, reaching approximately $958K in mid-August. Downloads saw a significant increase to around 525K in the same period but decreased to 226K by the end of September. Weekly active users peaked at 6.2M in mid-August and then declined to 5M by late September.
Pluto TV: Watch & Stream Live saw a steady download trend, peaking at 325K in mid-August. Weekly active users showed a positive trend, increasing from 1.4M in late August to 1.5M by mid-September, before settling at 1.3M by the end of September.
Amazon Prime Video had a notable spike in revenue, reaching $1.4K in the final week of September. Downloads peaked at approximately 408K in the week of July 10th. Weekly active users experienced a peak of 2.5M in early July and remained stable around 2.1M by the end of September.
Disney+ saw consistent revenue, peaking at around $335K in late June. Downloads surged to 331K in the first week of September. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, starting at 2.3M in late June and ending at 2.3M by the end of September.
