Throughout the third quarter of 2023, the top 5 insurance applications in Europe showed significant activity in terms of downloads and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower. Here's a detailed look at how these apps performed on a unified platform, encompassing both iOS and Android.
Compte ameli from l'Assurance Maladie experienced a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 67.5K in late June and peaking at 80.1K by the end of September. The app's weekly active users also saw a notable rise, growing from around 337K to nearly 380K during the same period.
Meine AOK by AOK Bundesverband showed steady download numbers, beginning with roughly 25.4K in late June and reaching about 30.6K by the end of the quarter. Active user numbers for Meine AOK also exhibited growth, increasing from around 142K to 152K.
Allianz'ım, published by Allianz Sigorta A.S., saw a varied but upward trend in downloads. The app started with around 17.8K downloads in late June, peaking at 30.2K in early September, before stabilizing at approximately 20.6K by the end of the quarter. Active users followed a similar pattern, rising from around 47.9K to 63.4K, before settling at about 51.5K.
Hastings Direct Insurance by Hastings Direct Limited showed strong download growth throughout the quarter. Starting at approximately 21.2K downloads in late June, the app peaked at 26.7K by the end of September. Active user numbers increased steadily as well, growing from around 60.8K to 66.3K.
Lastly, TK-App from Techniker Krankenkasse (TK) maintained stable download rates, beginning with around 19.2K downloads in late June and ending the quarter with approximately 19.6K. The weekly active users for TK-App also showed a slight increase, rising from around 180K to 174.7K over the three months.
