The third quarter of 2023 saw notable trends in the performance of the top 5 insurance apps in the United Kingdom on a unified platform. Below is a detailed look at their weekly downloads and active users.
Hastings Direct Insurance from Hastings Direct Limited showed a consistent increase in weekly downloads. Starting at around 21.2K downloads in late June, it peaked at approximately 26.8K by the end of September. The app also maintained a steady number of active users, growing from 60.8K to around 66.3K within the same period.
Cuvva consistently maintained its weekly downloads, fluctuating between 13.2K and 14.6K throughout the quarter. The app's weekly active users also remained stable, starting at 27.5K and ending the quarter at approximately 28.4K.
Admiral Insurance exhibited a steady rise in weekly downloads, beginning at about 11.3K and reaching a high of 16.2K by the end of Q3. Active users followed a similar trend, increasing from 80K to roughly 89.5K over the quarter.
MyAviva experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, starting at 11K, peaking at 13.4K in late July, and concluding the quarter at 11.4K. Active users saw a gradual increase, moving from 27.2K to 30.3K by the end of September.
Help@hand from SQUARE HEALTH LTD had more variable performance in terms of weekly downloads. The app started with approximately 6.5K downloads, experienced a dip mid-quarter, and ended the quarter at around 3.6K downloads.
