In Q3 2023, the top 5 shopping apps in the United Kingdom showed varied performance in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a detailed look at how each app fared during this period, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Temu experienced a notable fluctuation in weekly downloads, starting at around 388K in late June and peaking at approximately 509K in mid-July. By the end of September, downloads had settled at around 425K. The app also saw a consistent increase in weekly active users, rising from 1.7M in late June to nearly 2.9M by the end of the quarter.
Tesco Groceries for iPhone maintained a stable download rate, with figures hovering between 157K and 244K throughout the quarter. Active users showed a slight increase, beginning at 2.2M in late June and ending at approximately 2.4M in late September.
Vinted saw weekly downloads ranging from 143K to 200K, with a notable peak in the week of September 18. The app also experienced a steady rise in active users, starting at around 1.8M in late June and reaching over 2.1M by the end of September.
SHEIN's weekly downloads showed a slight decline over the quarter, starting at approximately 150K in late June and ending at around 149K. Active users fluctuated throughout the quarter but remained strong, averaging around 3.2M to 3.3M.
Amazon saw a consistent number of weekly downloads, ranging from 68K to 90K, with a peak in mid-September. The app's weekly revenue varied slightly, peaking at $931 in early September. Active users remained robust, starting at nearly 4M in late June and maintaining a similar level throughout the quarter.
