Q4 2023 Performance of Top Air Travel Apps on Android in France

In the fourth quarter of 2023, the Android air travel app landscape in France saw varied performance across popular applications. Data provided by Sensor Tower offers a glimpse into the download trends and weekly active users of the top five air travel apps during this period.

Ryanair maintained a consistent user base with weekly active users starting at approximately 55K in the last week of September and slightly decreasing to around 52K by the end of December. Downloads saw a peak in mid-October at roughly 14K but followed a declining trend, finishing the quarter with about 10K downloads.

The Air France - Book a flight app experienced an increase in downloads from about 8K to over 9K from the start to the end of the quarter. Weekly active users showed a gradual increase, peaking at approximately 33K in late November and ending the quarter with around 32K active users.

easyJet: Travel App downloads fluctuated throughout the quarter, starting at around 12K and dipping to approximately 6K in mid-December before recovering to around 7K by the year's end. The app's weekly active users saw a high of 76K in early October, with a noticeable dip following, but ended the quarter on an upswing at around 69K.

Flightradar24 Flight Tracker was the only app among the top five to generate revenue, starting the quarter with about $3K USD and ending with roughly $2K USD in the final week of December. The app saw a significant download spike in late October, reaching over 10K, but this trend reversed sharply, with downloads falling to around 4K in early December before rebounding to 9K by the close of the quarter. Weekly active users started at about 46K, dipped to 31K, and rose again to approximately 42K by the end of Q4.

Lastly, Volotea saw a gentle decline in downloads from about 5K at the start of the quarter to roughly 4K by the end. The weekly active users mirrored this trend, starting at nearly 17K and decreasing to about 15K by the quarter's conclusion.
