In the fourth quarter of 2023, the top air travel apps on the Android platform in Mexico exhibited diverse performance metrics in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users. The data, provided by Sensor Tower, reveals interesting trends for the leading apps: Viva Aerobus, Volaris, Aeromexico, Flightradar24 Flight Tracker, and American Airlines.

Viva Aerobus saw a varied trend in downloads throughout the quarter. Starting at approximately 23.6K in late September, downloads peaked at around 34.4K in mid-November before declining to 20.3K by the end of December. Weekly active users followed a similar pattern, peaking at about 93.5K during the same period and then decreasing to around 73.7K by the quarter’s end.

Volaris experienced fluctuations in downloads, starting at 20.9K in late September, peaking at 35.4K in mid-October, and ending the quarter at 17.7K. The app's weekly active users showed a similar trend, peaking at approximately 82.3K in mid-October and gradually declining to around 56.1K by the end of December.

Aeromexico maintained a steady download rate throughout the quarter, starting at 11.3K and peaking at 18.2K in mid-November before settling at 15.7K by the end of December. Weekly active users showed a consistent trend, peaking at around 59.7K in mid-November and maintaining a level of approximately 55K toward the end of the quarter.

Flightradar24 Flight Tracker showed a notable performance in revenue, starting at around $788 in late September and peaking at approximately $1.18K by the end of December. Downloads peaked at 7.4K in the last week of December, while weekly active users increased steadily from 45.2K to about 50.2K over the quarter.

American Airlines had relatively stable download numbers, starting at 2.1K and peaking at 3K in mid-December before ending the quarter at 1.8K. Weekly active users showed a gradual increase, peaking at approximately 11K in mid-December before slightly dropping to 9.6K by the end of the quarter.
