The fourth quarter of 2023 saw interesting developments in the UK Android auto app market. Here’s a breakdown of how the top five auto applications performed, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Carista OBD2 maintained a steady pace with downloads ranging between 310K and 365K. Weekly active users saw a slight increase from 499K in late September to 530K by the year's end. Revenue for Carista OBD2 fluctuated, peaking at 8.86K USD in late October before settling at just over 8.2K USD in the final week of December.
For Testi Driving Cancellations UK, downloads started strong at 1.25M but saw a gradual decline to 1.13M by the end of December. Revenue mirrored this trend, with an initial 10.46K USD dropping significantly to 3.73K USD in the same period.
The Carly — OBD2 car scanner showed a varied pattern in downloads, peaking in late November with 526K. Revenue experienced a rise towards the end of the quarter, ending at 4.07K USD, while weekly active users hovered around the 400K to 500K mark throughout the quarter.
Vehicle Smart - Car Check demonstrated an upward trajectory in downloads, from 986K to 1.32M. Its revenue, however, experienced a slight decrease, concluding at 2.35K USD for the last week of December. Weekly active users consistently grew, finishing the quarter at 3.28M.
Lastly, BimmerCode for BMW and MINI also saw an increase in downloads, ending the quarter with 320K compared to the initial 251K. Revenue peaked in late November at 2.19K USD, with weekly active users maintaining a steady rise and ending at 475K.
