As 2023 comes to a close, the auto application landscape on Android within the UK has seen varied performance across top platforms. Sensor Tower provides detailed insights into these trends, with a focus on downloads and weekly active users.
AutoTrader: Cars to Buy & Sell maintained a steady download rate, peaking at 13K in late December. The app's weekly active users fluctuated, with a notable dip in early November to 88K, followed by a rebound to 97K by the year's end.
CarGurus: Used & New Cars experienced a dip in downloads to 5K in early October, but downloads surged to 12K by mid-December. The app’s weekly active users saw a significant increase from 12K at the start of the quarter to a high of 20K in the week leading up to Christmas.
Shell saw its highest downloads at 12K in early October, followed by a gradual decrease to 3K by the quarter's end. The weekly active users peaked at 58K in October, then showed a decline, ending the quarter at 44K.
BPme - Pay for Fuel and more downloads peaked in mid-October at approximately 5K, but experienced a decline to 1.6K by Christmas. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, with a peak of 21K in mid-October and ending at 15K.
PetrolPrices: UK Fuel Prices downloads started the quarter at 5K, dipping to 1.9K by the year's end. The app's weekly active users started at 17K, with a slight decrease to approximately 11K in the last week of December.
