During the fourth quarter of 2023, the top city building games on the Android platform in Oman showcased varied performances in terms of revenue, downloads, and active users. Here’s a closer look at the trends for each game:
Sakura Street: Tycoon by Cloudwalker Ltd. saw a notable increase in weekly revenue towards the end of the quarter. Starting from a modest $38 in late September, the game peaked at $140 in the week of November 20 and ended the year with $104 in the final week of December.
Global City: Building Games from MY.GAMES B.V. experienced a significant rise in weekly revenue, especially in December, where it jumped from $9 in early December to an impressive $200 in the week of December 18, before slightly dropping to $158 in the final week. The game also saw fluctuating download numbers, with a peak of 740 downloads in the week of November 20. Active users showed a substantial increase mid-quarter, reaching 1133 in the same week before stabilizing around 455 by the end of December.
SimCity BuildIt by Electronic Arts maintained consistent performance. Revenue saw a peak of $95 in the first week of October, with another notable increase to $75 in late November. Weekly downloads were highest at 221 in mid-November, while active users peaked at 1300 in the week of November 20, before ending the quarter at 820.
Merge County from Microfun Limited had a relatively stable quarter with minor fluctuations. Revenue remained low throughout, peaking at $16 in early October. Downloads were minimal, with a slight increase to 14 in mid-November. Active users hovered around 25, peaking at 30 in late November before dropping to 21 by the end of December.
The Simpsons™: Tapped Out by Electronic Arts had a quieter quarter. Revenue saw a peak of $20 in the week of November 20, while downloads were not significant enough to report.
