Throughout the fourth quarter of 2023, food and diet tracking apps on the Android platform in Malta have shown varied performance in terms of downloads, revenue, and user engagement. Below, we analyze the trends for the top five applications in this category.
Low Carb Diet from For Fit saw a significant fluctuation in its weekly revenue. After starting the quarter with no revenue, it peaked at $220 in mid-October, followed by a decline, ending with $8 in early December. Downloads for the app also exhibited a downward trend, starting at 405 in late September and dropping to zero by November.
MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter consistently generated revenue, peaking at $219 in early November and maintaining a stable performance around $150 towards the end of December. Weekly downloads fluctuated between 27 and 92, with a noticeable increase to 55 in the final week of December.
Kompanion Intermittent Fasting reported a steady increase in downloads, starting at 20 in late September and reaching a peak of 58 in late November. However, weekly downloads saw a sharp decline to 11 by the last week of December. The app did not generate any revenue during this period.
BodyFast: Intermittent Fasting from BodyFast GmbH had a dynamic quarter in terms of revenue. It started with $141 in late September, fluctuated throughout the quarter, and saw a significant spike to $170 in the last week of December. Downloads remained relatively stable, with minor fluctuations, peaking at 53 in late September and December.
168 Intermittent Fasting App by Leap Fitness Group showed a notable increase in revenue, peaking at $343 in late October. However, it experienced a decline, ending the quarter with $92 in the last week of December. Weekly downloads for the app remained consistent, with minor increases, peaking at 48 in the final week of December.
