In the fourth quarter of 2023, the Pinball/Brick Breaker category saw varied performances among the top games on the Android platform in Australia. Data from Sensor Tower provides a closer look at how these games fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users.
Bricks n Balls experienced fluctuating revenue throughout the quarter, ultimately reaching $1.4K by the end of December. Downloads peaked at 4.3K in late September and saw a notable spike to 2.75K in mid-December. The weekly active users showed a declining trend, starting at 6.1K and dipping to 3.2K by the quarter's close.
Puzzle1Studio's Brick Out - Shoot the ball also had an interesting quarter, with revenue starting at $1.2K and ending at $865. The game saw no downloads at the start of October but surged to 2.6K by Christmas. Weekly active users more than tripled from 2.1K to 7.6K, indicating growing engagement towards the year's end.
Tech Tree Games' Idle Brick Breaker showed consistent revenue growth from $529 to over $1K. Downloads remained relatively low but stable, ranging from 202 to 312 across the quarter. Active users saw a slight increase, starting at 251 and climbing to 305.
In the case of PunBall, the revenue had its ups and downs, starting at $272, peaking at $621 in early December, and then tapering off to $276. However, there were no new downloads recorded for the game throughout the quarter.
Lastly, Bricks Ball Crusher by PoseidonGames maintained a revenue between $377 and $417, with no new downloads reported. The weekly active users started at 102 and saw a minimal decrease to 26 by the quarter's end.
