In the fourth quarter of 2023, the top sandbox games on the Android platform in Mexico displayed diverse performance trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users. Here’s a detailed look at the top five games: Roblox, Minecraft, Avakin Life - 3D Virtual World, Blockman Go, and IMVU: Social Chat & Avatar app.
Roblox from Roblox Corporation saw impressive numbers throughout the quarter. Downloads peaked at approximately 404K in the week of December 25, while revenue saw a high of around $129K in late September. Weekly active users (WAU) steadily increased, reaching about 7.7M by the end of December.
Minecraft by Mojang experienced fluctuations in both revenue and downloads. The game's revenue peaked at around $43K in the last week of December, while downloads hit a high of approximately 104K in early October. WAU for Minecraft saw a gradual increase, ending the quarter at roughly 622K.
Avakin Life - 3D Virtual World from Lockwood Publishing Ltd showed a consistent performance in revenue, peaking at around $9.3K in mid-December. Downloads also increased, reaching about 5.4K in the last week of December. The game’s WAU remained relatively stable, ending the quarter at around 42K.
Blockman Go by Blockman GO studio saw a significant rise in downloads and revenue towards the end of the quarter. Downloads peaked at approximately 8.5K in the last week of December, while revenue reached about $7.1K during the same period. WAU for Blockman Go also increased, closing the quarter at roughly 68K.
IMVU: Social Chat & Avatar app from IMVU, Inc. had a steady performance with revenue peaking at around $5.6K in the last week of December. Downloads reached a high of approximately 2.4K in early October, while WAU showed minor fluctuations, ending the quarter at about 23K.
