In the fourth quarter of 2023, the trivia game category saw interesting trends in user engagement and downloads across Latin America on the Android platform. Sensor Tower's comprehensive data highlights the performance of the top five trivia games.
Kahoot! Play & Create Quizzes experienced a decrease in weekly active users from 379K in late September to 217K by the end of December. Downloads followed a similar downward trend, starting at 68K and finishing at 12K. Revenue also saw a decline, with a peak of $2.7K in late November and dropping to $1.8K at the year's end.
Trivia Crack, another major player, showed a dip in active users from 444K to 406K over the quarter. Downloads peaked at 103K in early October but fell to 82K by the Christmas week. The revenue for Trivia Crack fluctuated, reaching its highest at $1.5K in the last week of December.
QuizDuel! Quiz & Trivia Game, while having significantly lower numbers, also saw a decline in downloads from 390 in September to 476 in December. Weekly active users saw a slight increase from 4.4K to 4.8K over the same period. Revenue showed some volatility, with a noticeable dip to $344 in the final week from a high of $851 in November.
Elevate - Brain Training Games, despite its educational angle, had a mixed quarter. The app's revenue had an impressive surge to $1.5K in November, followed by a year-end spike to $1.2K. Downloads saw a significant jump from just over 1K to 3.7K, while active users more than doubled from 3.5K to 7.7K by the quarter's close.
Lastly, Trivia Crack Premium showed a steady trend in active users, starting at 1.4K and ending at 1.7K. Downloads remained stable, hovering around 30 to 39 per week. Revenue saw a peak of $904 in the third week of December.
