In the final quarter of 2023, the investing and financial management applications on the iOS platform demonstrated varying levels of user engagement across the United States. This Sensor Tower report provides a brief overview of the performance trends for the top five applications in this category.
Schwab Mobile saw its downloads peak at approximately 105K in early November, with weekly active users reaching a high of around 1.2M in the same period. The app's downloads fluctuated over the quarter, ending with about 41K in the last week of December, while active users saw a slight increase to approximately 1.1M.
Fidelity Investments experienced a steady increase in downloads over the quarter, with a notable rise to nearly 57K in the week of Christmas. Weekly active users saw a peak of just over 1M in late November, closing the quarter with around 1.1M active users.
Robinhood: Investing for All maintained a consistent download rate, with a high of around 48K in early November. The app's weekly active users started at over 3M in late September, reaching a peak of approximately 3.2M in mid-December before a slight drop to nearly 3M by the quarter's end.
Empower® showed a dramatic increase in downloads to about 79K in the week of October 23rd, which then stabilized to around 31K by the end of December. Weekly active users for Empower® displayed a high of nearly 200K in October, with a modest increase to approximately 163K by the end of the quarter.
Lastly, Coinbase: Buy Bitcoin & Ether downloads surged to about 42K in early December, yet the weekly active users showed a more impressive climb, reaching nearly 593K in the same period. The app concluded the quarter with around 42K downloads and just over 509K active users.
