In Q4 2023, the top five medical apps in the United Kingdom on the iOS platform, namely NHS App, Patient Access, MyChart, FreeStyle LibreLink – GB, and myGP®, demonstrated significant variations in their weekly downloads and active user metrics. Below is a detailed analysis of their performance.

NHS App maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads peaking at around 30.8K in late October. However, there was a noticeable decline towards the end of December, dropping to 18.4K. In terms of active users, the app saw a high of 964K in early October but experienced a gradual decline, ending the quarter at 655.5K.

Patient Access had a relatively stable download rate, with weekly downloads hovering around 10.5K in early October and decreasing to approximately 6.7K by the end of December. The active user base showed minor fluctuations, starting at 56.6K and closing the quarter at 50.2K.

MyChart saw a significant spike in weekly downloads in early October, reaching 9.2K, before stabilizing around 5.2K towards the quarter's end. Active users increased to a peak of 23.4K in early October and then gradually decreased to 17.1K by the end of December.

FreeStyle LibreLink – GB experienced moderate weekly downloads, peaking at 5.3K in early November, followed by a decline to approximately 3K in the last week of December. The app's active users remained relatively stable, with a slight increase from 43.6K to 47.7K in early December before dropping to 41.9K at the end of the quarter.

myGP® had more modest download numbers, starting at 5.3K in late September and decreasing to around 2.8K by the end of December. Active users showed a downward trend from 18.1K in late September to 13.7K by the end of the year.
