The trivia game category on iOS has shown varied performance across top apps in the United States during the fourth quarter of 2023. Here's a look at how these games fared, with data courtesy of Sensor Tower.
Elevate - Brain Training Games led the revenue charts with earnings fluctuating between $135K and $197K, ending the quarter on a high note. Downloads remained fairly consistent, ranging from 24K to 39K, while weekly active users saw a slight drop mid-quarter before rising to 300K.
Trivia Crack witnessed a gradual decrease in revenue from $30K to $24K, with a notable spike in downloads during the last week reaching 62K. Active users peaked at 260K in late October and experienced a dip towards 170K in early December, recovering to 232K by year's end.
Kahoot! Play & Create Quizzes saw revenues ranging from $24K to $41K. Although downloads varied, they hit a low of 29K in the final week. Weekly active users started strong at 316K but declined to 256K by the quarter's end.
Akinator had the most modest revenue figures, starting at $414 and falling to $25 by December, with a sharp drop in early December. Downloads, however, surged to 91K in the last week, and active users more than doubled from 65K to 111K over the quarter.
Trivia Star: Trivia Games Quiz experienced a decrease in revenue from $23K to $21K. Downloads showed a declining trend until mid-November, then increased to 28K. Weekly active users, after a slight decline, ended the quarter at 144K.
