In the fourth quarter of 2023, the top five auto applications in Italy displayed diverse trends in downloads, revenue, and weekly active users. Here’s a breakdown of their performance:
carVertical: Check Car History saw fluctuating download numbers, peaking at approximately 10K in early November and closing the quarter at around 4.9K. The revenue for this app spiked significantly in the last week of November to about $5K, maintaining a steady range between $4.7K and $6.7K through December. Weekly active users varied, reaching a quarter-high of about 22.9K in early November.
AutoScout24: Buy & sell cars experienced a consistent download rate, starting at approximately 30.9K and ending the quarter at around 24.4K. Revenue peaked in the last week of December at around $3.1K. The weekly active users remained stable, peaking at about 256K in the first week of October and maintaining over 200K throughout the quarter.
iTarga - Verify license plate showed a notable decline in downloads, dropping from around 9.3K at the end of September to just 226 in mid-December before recovering to 2.2K by the end of the quarter. Revenue also showed a downward trend, peaking at $388 in early November and ending the quarter with $205. Active users followed a similar trend, starting at 23.4K and dropping to approximately 12.5K by the end of December.
Car History Check: VIN Decoder had modest and steady download numbers, with a slight increase towards the end of the quarter, peaking at 771 in the last week of December. Revenue remained low, fluctuating between $35 and $128, and active users increased slightly from 1.3K to 1.6K over the quarter.
Scanner Veicoli demonstrated a consistent performance in downloads, starting at 4.8K and peaking at 5.7K in mid-December. Revenue remained relatively stable, averaging around $50 per week. Active users showed an upward trend, increasing from about 9.7K at the end of September to 10.2K by the end of December.
