In the fourth quarter of 2023, Brazil's dating app scene witnessed notable trends among the top players. Sensor Tower provided the data, offering a glimpse into the apps' downloads, revenue, and active users.
Tinder: Chat, Dating & Friends, a leading name in the dating domain, experienced a fluctuating revenue trend, with the peak reaching over $353K in the final week of December. Downloads for the app remained above 100K for most weeks, hitting a high of around 137K in early October. The weekly active users showed a slight decline from over 5.3M at the end of September to approximately 5.2M by the year's end.
Dating App - Inner Circle saw its revenue hovering around the $80K-$90K mark throughout the quarter, with downloads peaking at over 37K in mid-October. Active users reached a high of nearly 200K in mid-October but dipped to around 162K by the quarter's close.
Grindr - Gay Dating & Chat maintained steady revenue, with the highest weekly revenue touching nearly $84K. The app's downloads saw a high of nearly 30K in early October, while the active users count rose to over 1.1M by the end of December.
happn — Dating app observed its revenue reaching over $67K in the last week of December, with downloads showing a peak of approximately 46K in early October. The weekly active users showed a decline from over 1.1M at the start of the quarter to just over 1M by its conclusion.
Badoo: Dating. Chat. Friends demonstrated a consistent revenue trend, peaking at over $70K in mid-December. Downloads for Badoo were impressive, with a significant increase to over 117K in the last week of December. The app's active users saw a notable rise, starting from 3.76M and growing to over 4.1M by the end of the quarter.
